Owner Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes to minimize empty miles and maximize fuel savings
- Maintain consistent communication with UACL freight agents for load alerts and scheduling
- Use UACL’s load management and documentation technology
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all pickup and delivery locations
- Represent UACL professionally with customers, agents, and operations staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Own or lease a truck suitable for OTR or regional operation
- Flatbed experience required — Conestoga experience strongly preferred
- Meets all DOT and FMCSA qualifications
- Clean safety record
- Business-minded approach to managing an independent operation
